No, you are just toiling away. Taking it a day at a time and wondering when your big break is gonna come. That's the life of a minor league ballplayer. Just another working class stiff, only you make your living with a bat and glove - or maybe just a glove, if you are a hurler - not a jackhammer or a computer. Nevertheless, you deserve full marks because you are going at this thing full steam in pursuit of your dream. You will achieve debt free prosperous living one day, or at least you tell yourself that. You turn on the TV and say to yourself...

"... Man, if that ugly S.O.B. can make it big, win the World Series and experience what debt free prosperous living feels like, then dammit, so can I. And I am going to do whatever it takes to get there."

Realistic goals for debt free and prosperous living

There are many, but start with your own spending. You might get a 7-year, $100 million contract one day but there is no sense banking on that to happen. You need to keep things local for now. Make a list of all the things you spend money on. Then compare it with how much you are bringing in. The first step to debt free and prosperous living, whether you are in the Majors or punching that time card at a 9-to-5 gig at the warehouse, is to make sure never to spend more than you make. Simple, right? Not for most people.

You would not think that it would be such a big problem for Americans to contain themselves financially but it is. We see the greed and gratuitous spending out there in society and use it as a measure of our own self worth. People, that is just not right. What you have to do is embrace debt free prosperous living as a way of life. That way, no matter where you go or how much you have, you will be able to meet the challenges of life head on.
